2023 Toyota Crown, Corvette Z06 top this week’s new car reviews

We test drove two ends of the automotive spectrum this week, and reported on the pricing of the last and final 2023 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger muscle cars, as well as their special Last Call editions. We tracked the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the 670-hp high-performance edition of America’s supercar, on road and track. And checked out Toyota’s newest hybrid, the 2023 Crown full-size sedan and successor to the Avalon.

2023 Honda Civic review

The 2023 Honda Civic lineup impresses for its balanced handling and impressive feature count, even though a price hike erodes some of its value and evens its TCC Rating to a 6.8 out of 10. 

2023 Chevrolet Corvette review

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette has powertrain layout and racetrack-ready handling of an exotic car at a value price. It earns a TCC Rating of 6.6 out of 10.

2023 Volkswagen GTI review

VW’s brand-making hot hatchback sports saucy moves and a salty sticker price. It’s a 6.5 out of 10 on the TCC Rating scale.

2023 Toyota Crown review

A hybrid sedan with a crossover style, the Toyota Crown replaces the Avalon and offers a choice between power and efficiency. It’s a 6.2 out of 10. 

2023 Infiniti QX80 review

A modern-day land yacht, the 2023 Infiniti QX80 boasts a big, plush cabin, thrusty V-8 power, and a retro outlook on life. It earns a TCC Rating of 6.0 out of 10. 

2023 Mazda CX-30 review

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 has an athletic feel, with stylish looks, but its infotainment interface trails competitors. It snares a TCC Rating of 5.8 out of 10.

2023 Kia Rio review

With a big warranty and a TCC Rating of 4.8 out of 10, the 2023 Kia Rio can make better sense than some used cars.
