A single human being has died of injuries from a home hearth in downtown Windsor Sunday evening.
Windsor Fireplace and Rescue Products and services crews were known as to a multi-unit developing in the 400 block of Church Street at about 9:30 p.m.
Flames engulfed the dwelling and shot from the roof, filling the sky with smoke.
Firefighters rescued two people from the making. They had been taken to hospital for treatment method, but a single of them succumbed to accidents, Windsor Fire explained Monday morning.
With outside temperatures under minus 10 Celsius, drinking water could be found frozen to firefighters’ visors and products. A Transit Windsor bus finally arrived on scene to give crews a place to heat up.
