A man who is suspected of signing up for the riot at the U.S. Capitol very last 7 days instructed authorities a Capitol Police officer shook his hand as he entered the building and mentioned: ‘It’s your dwelling now.’

Robert Bauer admitted to the FBI that he, alongside with his cousin, Edward Hemenway of Virginia, went to the professional-Trump rally exterior the White House on January 6 right before heading to the riot at the Capitol.

Once within the making, the law enforcement officer grabbed Bauer’s hand, he said.

The two Bauer and Hemenway have been billed with violent entry and disorderly conduct and knowingly moving into or remaining in a restricted setting up or grounds. 

The FBI is stated to have used photographs Bauer posted to Fb to recognize them both.
