GORDON RAMSAY’S new show Future Food Stars gives ordinary food lovers the opportunity to earn money to kick start their business.
With prize money of £150,000 and a chance to win the chef’s mentorship, let’s meet the contestants on Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars.
Who are the contestants of Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars?
There are 12 contestants all with food or drink based businesses who are hoping to win Chef Ramsay’s cash and endorsement.
Leah Harkness
Leah is 38-years-old and from London.
She runs Norah’s Brownies which specialise in free-from brownies.
The brand makes sweet treats which are vegan and gluten free, which can be delivered directly to your door.
Asher Flowers
PR-turned-jam-connoisseur Asher is 28 years old and from Rhondda Valley, South Wales.
His brand Rogue sells jams, marmalades and chutneys, inspired by his mum’s love of selling jam at local markets.
Rogue features some more unusual flavours like an espresso martini marmalade, bravado chilli pepper jam, and a negroni marmalade.
Matthew Watts
Londoner Matthew Watts is 33 and runs a zero waste restaurant called Jackdaw.
He focuses on customers that care about the environment as well as the local community.
Stephanie Buttery
Ex-warfare officer, Stephanie Buttery is hoping to wow with her soft drinks brand Chu Lo.
The 30-year-old from Manchester, discovered a love for a sour alcoholic drink while stationed in Japan during her time in the Navy.
Her soft drinks are inspired by Japanese drinks.
Amit Panwar
Chef and restaurant owner Amit, 38, from Worcestershire hopes Gordon will invest in his brand Pandeli.
Pandeli is a bottled Indian sauce company, featuring three handmade bottle designs.
Amit’s sauces are inspired by his own authentic family recipes.
Jen Wright
Hailing from Castleford, West Yorkshire, 35-year-old Jen is competing for her cocktail company.
The Cocktail Pickers Club provides pre-bottled cocktails for customers to enjoy at home.
She hopes to sell her cocktails by the keg at premium bars.
Michelle Maddox
Michelle, 45, comes from Abernethy, Perthshire and found her inspiration at her son’s school fair.
Clootie McToot sells clootie dumplings, a Scottish treat, with lots of exciting flavours.
From rhubarb and ginger to chocolate orange with Irish cream liqueur, these dumplings sold well at the school fair.
Valentina Fois
Vegan cakes take skill to make and 37-year-old Valentina’s vegan cafe is a hit in London.
Lele’s cake mixes aim to make vegan cooking accessible to all, making them inexpensive and easy to bake.
The range currently features three flavours – vanilla cupcakes, banana bread and brownies.

Navy head chef Jamie, 36, wants to show Gordon how to cook mussels to perfection with his business.
Savages Mussels is a mussels bar in Macclesfield, featuring menu items such as popcorn mussels and a fish finger sandwich with pickled mussels.
Victoria Omobuwajo
Another Londoner on Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars is Victoria, 28.
Her business is called Sumo and specialises in plantain based snacks.
She was inspired by her mum’s plantain crisps when she was at university.
Bola Adegbenro
Health coach turned drinks maker Bola hails from Hertfordshire.
The 46-year-old has already won two awards for her startup fizzy drinks company Jitterbug.
Jitterbug drinks are only 40 calories and come in three flavours inspired by the 1950s.
When is Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars on?
This Apprentice-style competition will air every Thursday on BBC One at 9pm.
